I was born In Fairbanks Alaska in 1969. I moved South when I was 17 and will regret it forever. I use to be able to have snow ball fights and make angel's in the snow. Now I have Hot Texas humid bad Hair days. Thanks for all the wonderful memories of home. You did a great job.

I'm looking for employment in education (corrections or college-level remediation), and hope to move to Alaska if employment is available. Anybody have any connections in these areas?

The site is great. I was born in Ketchikan Alaska.I haven't been back since I was eight. I want to go back before I die. My father worked on the Ferry sysyem up there for 23 years. I want to ride on the ferries again. Thanks again.

My mother grew up in Alaska, and I still have relatives up there. I'm supposed to be writing a twenty page report on this state, and as soon as I'm through, and have enough money, ALASKA, HERE I COME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We will be taking the cruisetour in early May 1999 and really looking forward to seeing your wonderful state. Never been in Alaska so sounds great.
I was born and raised in the Wasilla area from '71 to '82. Never have gotten used to the "lower forty-eight." People around here call 400ft hills "mountains." I just laugh and pity them. My fondest wish is to see Alaska at least once more before I die. Thanks for the great website—it makes waiting a little easier.
My family will be cruising Alaska in early May, 1999.
SOON AS IM DONE DRYWALLING FLORIDA ALASKA'S NEXT!
I have relations in the canning and fishing industry
Many people have left inquiries here for further information on communities, activities etc. Here are 2 sites to visit - 1 for information & 1 for beauty: www.state.ak.us www.juneauphotos.com Hope you enjoy them. Leilani
Last year myself and two of my friends spent a week sea kayaking the Nellie Juan Glacier Region of Alaska. We fell in love with the area and hope to return. Picutes do NOT do the area justice.
Lovely pictures - I hope to visit Alaska later this year. The pictures have made me even more determined to come.

My grand mother is Aleutian indian and was part of the evacuation of the Aluetian islands during WWII. I am now just doing a small project at Western Illinois University about native americans but with my heritage as the fore front topic. I just felt that this might be a small way for me to get in touch with my heritage.
My goal is to live in Alaska. I am studying Wildlfe and Fisheries Science at The Pennsylvania State University but I study Alaska in my spare time. There is no place else to go to find the most spectaular wildlife and humans.
I have found this site very informative. My girl scout troop is participating in a States dinner in March and they choose your wonderful state of Alaska. They are required to create a skit to perform for the group and your site has given me some wonderful ideas. Thanks
I miss Alaska very much! I was 19 years old in 1969. I landed in Fairbanks on Nov. 21 The temperature that first week dropped to 50+ below. I foolishly wore leggings under a skirt out doors and they froze to my legs. I've seen some awesome nature cross country AK. I want to take my TX.License for Chemical Dependency Counseling back to Alaska and help. My way of saying thank you, God.
My grandfather is aleut. He is a Bean too.
Love this site. Hope to live in Alaska one day.
My first visit to Alaska took place upon a computer screen. Next, I have to sample the fine air in person. Thanks to an inspired webmaster for a totally great site. My blarney is published on kanoe.com. Happy times!
I am 12 years old and writing a report on Alaska in school. This site was great for info! Keep it up!
This is a great site keep up the good work!
Great site. I went on a cruise to Alaska in 97 and am going again this Sept. Would like to live there. I know cruising is not really seeing Alaska, but maybe soon I will get the chance to do that too. Please keep adding to the site.
Very well done! I intend on forwarding this site to all my friends outside!
I am moving to Anchorage in August and have found your website to be the MOST helpful in finding information I need, for everything from apartments to cost of living to recreation. Thanks for the great site!
You have a very nice site. I'm looking around for anything related to Alaska, particularly the Russian Orthodox church, and something on my great uncle, Jack Dalton. Family history hasn't had much to offer over the years, until the net search came along. Still looking for a photo of the old guy...
this site is pretty good but i'm really lokking for the way volcanoes affect man and there habatat. I think you should emphasize some more on that!
I'm awarding you the raven's Alaska Gold Site Award for the depth of information provided. You could use some better mapping for our great state, but the links you do provide are very useful. Your Award can be found at http://www.akcache.com/ravengrafix/awards.html
this is cool! has everything you need to know.
Greetings from Penang a.k.a Pearl of the Orient, Malaysia. I have a very good e-mail friend by the name of Acy who lives in Kasilof with her husband Tony .Have heard so much about Alaska too from another good friend name Virginia Kociemba who lives in Portland, Oregon but spend every summer in Kasilof with husband Dennis. Wanted to find out more about this beautiful country a.k.a The Last Frontier. I hope I will be able to visit Alaska some day, it seems like a fantastic place. Have try the smoked salmon and also the squaw candy smoked by Dennis ' The Big Smoker' and I must say they taste great. Keep up the good work Dennis.
