STRUCTURESThere are four structures on the island:
Log Cabin: The log cabin was built in the 1930's when the homestead was being processed. It is still standing but in need of a little love and affection.
"Old" Cabin: Built around 1939. It is approximately 15' x 25'. It is watertight but in need or repair. It is currently being used for storage.
Storage shed: Formerly used as a tool shed, carpenter shack and cooler. In need of some repair.
Main Cabin: Approximately 35' x 20'. Constructed in 1991. It has two bedrooms, with four bunks in each room. Bathroom with toilet, sink, and shower. Large kitchen with propane stove and oven. It has a "mud room" entryway and a large dining area which can seat 10 people. The living area is right off the dining area and has comfort chairs and a couch/hide-a-bed. The front porch runs the distance of the cabin with built in benches and the back porch is partially covered and has a refrigerator (cooled by glacier ice) for foods and beverages.
BOATS Three boats are included with the island:
16' skiff with a 25 horsepower Johnson outboard
14' skiff with a 15 horsepower Evinrude outboard
42 foot landing craft with custom raised sidewalls (16") and raised cabin (30") for plenty of storage below. The "Islander" is powered by twin 200 horsepower Mercury outboards with a 25 horsepower Johnson kicker. Also on the "Islander" is a motorized "pot puller" for hauling in your shrimp and/or crab pots. The "Islander" is also equipped with a VHF radio.
