Canada's Kinaskan Lake Access

If you should happen to be a pilot and own a plane, the picture below, of the float planes beached is on the shore of the lake in front of the lodge and cabins at Kinaskan. Of the eleven original owners, nine were owners and pilots and made many weekend tours from Ketchikan, Hyder, or Prince Rupert to view and take care of our favorite wilderness, only an hour and 15 minutes from S.E. Alaska towns. All our planes were float equipped. The town of Iskut maintains a good gravel strip with fuel available, and air service to Stewart and Prince Rupert. However check on this before you leave the last of the coastal cities. All the S.E. Alaska coastal cities have airports with unlimited service and most of the towns have all the essential facilities for float planes.
