Alaska's 1st City, also known as the "Salmon Capitol of the World", is located on Revillagigedo Island in the Southeast region of Alaska. It is the fourth largest city in the state, and is the first port of call when heading north by sea.
Ketchikan's attractions include a salmon hatchery and eagle exhibit, totem poles, museums and art galleries, just to name a few. Fishing charters and sightseeing tours are available,as well as kayaking and bicycling. Horse drawn carriages, boat, and double-decker buses are just a hint at the Ketchikan tours available to you.
Two of the main attractions are; Saxman's NativeTotem Park, just south of town, and Totem Bight State Park, north of town.
